Sgushyonka (Sugar Milk)

Description

Sgushyonka or Sugar Milk or Condensed Milk is famous Russian dessert which consists of milk, sugar and some other ingredients. You can buy canned sgushyonka in various food markets and prepare it at home yourself following one of traditional Russian recipes.

Ingredients & Directions (3-4 persons)

To make Sgushyonka you need 1 liter of fatty milk (3% and more), 1-2 cups of sugar, 50 gram of butter. You can also add vanillin or chocolate to taste.

 

You need two cooking pans. In one pan you need to put water to boil. In another one pan you need to mix all ingredients. You put on fire pan with water to boil and another one pan with mixed ingredients you put on the first pan. Cook sgushyonka for 1 hour. Then strain sgushyonka into clean sauce pan and put into refrigerator.
