Some Russian celebrate September equinox welcoming fall at night organizing home parties, enjoying equal length of day and night, visiting different shows and special events. It is also popular to decorate home with fruits and vegetables, apples, pumpkins, maple leafs etc. expressing gratitude to our nature and planet for good harvest.
During the days after fall Russians start to prepare for winter and dream about spring or how to escape winter in countries with hot climate.
For Russians autumn equinox is also a start to think about life to change something for the best during winter period and to restore forces before spring and summer.
